Real Moments at Home | Davidson Family

Real Moments at Home | Davidson Family

Ever since I had our daughter almost 2 years ago now, my heart has had a huge shift in the moments I feel are most important. I love to get dressed up and have a stunning outdoor backdrop for our family memories, and I will always adore those moments. However, I'm finding the ones I cherish the most are the everyday memories of our life together. It was such a pleasure to be invited into the Davidsons' home to capture the little moments of this season of life with their sweet Ansley. It is so sweet to encapsulate a bit of this season for their family in the real moments they share in their beautiful home. I am so passionate about doing this kind of imagery - it's a different kind of ethereal and I cannot get enough! I'm excited to be taking on more of this work in the future. It really doesn't get more precious than this!

Jeremy & Meagan | Dothan AL Wedding

Jeremy & Meagan | Dothan AL Wedding

Late Winter weddings are quite beautiful here in the South. Jeremy and Meagan's day was no exception. They planned such a gorgeous blush pink and gold affair, which fell just perfectly before Valentine's Day. I knew they'd be a blast to work with the minute we met last year! I was so right. Everything about their day was high-energy and fun. Meagan is one of those exuberant kinds of people who lights up a room with her 100 watt smile. It's no wonder Jeremy fell in love with her. She's a gem. One of my favorite things about the day wasn't Meagan's stunning Vera Wang gown, the elegant venue or lovely decor, although those were absolutely picturesque. My favorite thing was how much Jeremy and Meagan appreciated those who came to celebrate their love, and how thankful they were for the friends and family who worked so hard to make their dreams come true.  It just made me all the more grateful to serve such wonderful couples like them.

Brock & Sarah | Dothan AL Engagement Photographer

I met Sarah a few months back through a friend. After chatting for a while over coffee I knew that it was going to be such a pleasure to work with this adorable little lady. She and her fiance, Brock, met during their studies at Troy University. After graduating, they both found teaching jobs in the same town. Sarah is a sweet kindergarten teacher and Brock loves to coach baseball. After Brock popped the question over Spring break, they began planning their December wedding. I'm just so happy to be a part of their love story.

I love doing engagement sessions. It is such a special thing to be able to see the sweet love between two people. Each couple is so different. Some have a loud, laughing love while others are gentle and unassuming. Each love is as unique. Theirs is nothing short of precious. I'm such a hopeless romantic and nothing makes me more giddy than seeing two people so happy together. These photos really show that these two are head over heels in love!

It all began in Troy...

I don't think you can get any more precious than these two photos here! Ah!!!

Oh, this one makes me so happy! Can't you see the joy on their faces? My goodness, they are so adorable!

I love this one because Brock proposed while they were dancing! So sweet!

I had so much trouble narrowing down these photos for the blog! They were all so sweet! I can't wait for their gorgeous wedding!

PS: Isn't "the dip" one of the most romantic things ever? I love it!

Message In a Bottle | The Story

I am a dreamer. There are ideas constantly darting back and forth in my head. Most of the time, my ideas don't get very far. They are either down right awful, just ok or don't work at present. Not all of my ideas will be brilliant, and that's just a part of the creative process. However, sometimes I find one that might work and go after it. There is nothing better than when it finally comes to life. That is exactly what has happened to me lately and why I am so excited to be sharing this with you today. A few weeks ago I challenged myself to tell a story with only images. My idea for it was in it's infant stages. I had a few bits and pieces and I wasn't sure how they could flow together: a story, love, a message in a bottle...I am a hopeless romantic at heart, so the idea of capturing love as it unfolded drew me in and consumed me. I have a growing passion for story-telling and I wanted to take it to the next creative level. Slowly the idea grew and became what you are about to see. I am  so happy with how everything came together. It's a piece of a love story from start to finish. I have my own thoughts for what happened before this story begins, how these two came to love, what the message says, and how their story continues, but I will leave that up to your own interpretation.

For now I invite you to watch as this story unfolds...the story of a message in a bottle...
