monday ramblings

Sometimes I really don't know where the time goes. Is it really almost July? I can't believe it. I have so many things I want to post on here, but I honestly don't know where to start! Thus, you all get some miscellaneous ramblings today!

In rather silly news, I discovered a new hairstyle I really love. Isn't it so awesome whenever you find a new one that works? I get so excited and then proceed to wear said hairstyle nearly everyday until I get tired of it. :) I've already worn this braided style for 4 days in a row. Oh, and I found a new outfit in my closet. Well it's not really new, but it's a new combination of stuff I already had. I love it when that happens. It's the little things! :)

The fact that I am a photographer really sunk in the other day. While driving to an engagement session I thought back to ours over 2 years ago. I remembered how excited I was to meet our photographers and have such beautiful images. Now I'm the photographer! It kind of blew my mind in that moment. This whole gig is going to work out I think! Who would have thought this is where I'd be? Since last September I have seen so many changes, and I'm simply thankful. It's been a crazy-awesome, challenging journey thus far! I feel like I've been riding a huge wave of momentum that's propelling me forward. I'm just along for the ride. I sure can't wait to see what God has in store for the coming days!

I'm obsessed with avocados lately...as in I-eat-one-every-day kind of obsessed. It's as if I had a blind spot that blocked my view of the avocado bin in the produce section. Well folks, I once was blind but now I see...avocados that is. I see them everywhere now. Even Subway has an avocado sandwich! Mmmm, it's avocado heaven over at our house lately. My hubby doesn't like them, so all the more for me! :)

A youth camp in our area called WIRED started last night. Basically, the gist is that a bunch of youth groups all over the area come together to serve the community, learn from the Word and worship together. This year David Nasser is speaking and Rush of Fools are leading worship. I'm pretty darn excited about it. Last night David said that when you truly encounter the GLORY of God it wrecks you. When God and man collide it always results in death. It happened to me when I was six. My old way of life died and I've lived a new one ever since. There have been times when I've encountered God's glory through the years, but this week my prayer is that I see him more clearly than ever before. I want to be undone by the holiness of God.

Anyway, that's about it I guess! This post is a bit all over the place for sure! I need to get back to editing up a storm! Ha! I hope you all have a blessed week!
