Ava | Summer Portrait

I love the summertime. Even though I'm (technically) an adult now, I still feel the carefree and relaxing effects of it's sunshine-filled days. This session encompasses everything in my perfect summer day - lush open fields, pretty sundresses, fluffy white clouds, long flowing hair and lots of laughs. Ava was so fun to work with for this shoot. She contacted me a few months ago about doing her senior portraits, but sadly the distance between Dothan, AL and Texas got in the way. I got so excited when she let me know that she was coming back for a visit. For some reason I feel compelled to certain people. Ava is one of them for sure. She is such a sweet person and has great style. I mean seriously, look at her rockin' ombre hair! She's the first girl I've seen to pull it off so well! I'm not gonna lie, there was definitely some hair envy going on! :) Although she is definitely gorgeous, the most attractive thing about her is the beauty that shines from the inside. I think the verse in 1 Peter 3:4 fits her very well:

"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."

I had such a fun time romping around in the fields with Ava! :) I'm looking forward to more sessions like this over the summer.

Happy Tuesday friends!
