I'm so excited to be sharing this beautiful wedding with you all today. I've been on this journey with Kara and Justin for what feels like a very long time. Their engagement session last summer in Oxford seems like an eternity ago! I knew from the beginning that these two were going to have such a beautiful celebration of their union, both tangibly and intangibly. The feel of the whole day was pure sweetness and romance. Kara is one of the most detailed yet laid back brides I've ever had the pleasure to work with over the years. The day they planned was perfection. One of my favorite moments was their first look underneath a canopy of old oaks. Nothing compares to that moment when the groom gazes upon his beautiful bride for the first time. This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely girl as she wed her man. It was like a breath of fresh air - stunning, elegant and incredibly sweet. Kara is an absolute joy and one of the most precious people you will ever meet. I also don't think it's possible for her not to be adorable. She is such a classic beauty and an authentic person. The Ringling Ca' d'Zan Mansion

One thing I love about my job is the opportunity to travel to new places and enjoy different scenery. There is much of my job that is not glamourous or necessarily enjoyable, but this is one of the better parts. A few weeks ago I met up with this lovely lady that I have known for a while via social media. It's wonderful to have the chance to connect with so many amazing people that way, but it is infinitely better to meet in person. Candice is such a beautiful and inspiring individual. It was such a pleasure to work with her in such a gorgeous location. The Ca' d'Zan Mansion was the winter home of Jon Ringling of The Ringling Brothers Circus. It is quite a unique place. I would have loved to tour more of the grounds and museums while I was there. The architecture alone was fascinating. I look forward to visiting that beautiful place and this beautiful girl again in the future.

Sea Inspired

It is both a blessing and a curse to be inspired by one's surroundings. I am definitely affected either positively or adversely by the space around me. I have an enormous need for an inspiring space in which to work, especially since most of my time is spent managing things in my office. The time spent creating is only a small fraction of what I do. It's hard to constantly have fresh and new ideas if what is around is only distracting instead of aiding in the creative process.
