Taking Lunch Outside

Ah, the weather has been so nice this week. It's still a little chilly, but it seems to warm up for at least a few hours at mid-day. (I'm sorry for those of you who who still have cold and snow...come South!) The flowers are starting to bloom and hints of Spring are popping up everywhere. Yesterday I just couldn't make myself stay indoors any longer, so I took my lunch outside. Maybe I'm just yearning to enjoy being outside again. Regardless, I was glad to have lunch somewhere other than at my desk. I'm pretty sure it tasted better just because I ate it out in the fresh air...yep, definitely. I also pulled out the fancy crystal someone gave us as a wedding gift. What's the point of having it if you don't use it, I say. It was nice to have a sprig of rosemary from our new (tiny) herb garden too!

Speaking of plants, I'm getting more and more adventurous in my gardening endeavors. I even have an heirloom tomato plant now, along with the mini herb garden! We're moving on up people, moving on up. And yes, I know the tulips are still in the plastic container...sitting inside the pot. I planted them after lunch, just in case you were wondering. :) They were just to pretty not to have next to me on the blanket. Haha.

Have any of you been able to enjoy the great outdoors lately?
