There is almost nothing I adore more than photographing love in the most beautiful places. This gorgeous afternoon with Suzanne and Luke at this magical Southern estate was no exception. They are so in love and perfectly at ease with one another. The blooming arbors of Jasmine was nothing short of ethereal. I could have stayed with these two all day and been perfectly content. I cannot wait to photograph their beautiful wedding this Autumn!

Seaside Dreams | Bridal Inspiration

There are a thousand reasons to love the Summer. The cool sand, ocean blues and warm rays of the sun are good for the soul. A few months ago our team started dreaming of some Summer wedding inspiration by the seaside. Here's a little more about the inspiration behind this concept of the shoot:

When I think of Summer the first thing that comes to mind is the ocean. Perhaps its because I grew up minutes away from the shore. Regardless, I've always been enthralled by the dichotomy between chaos and calm of the sea. It is both fierce and gentle in an ethereally and haunting way. It evokes a beautiful sense of longing for the unknown and intangible. The ocean has always moved my soul deeply. I knew it would be beautiful to merge my love of the sea and wedding inspiration. When I found the dream-like coast of Fort Pickens, I knew it would be the perfect backdrop. Our model is a ballet dancer, beautifully using her talent for capturing emotion through movement. It is as if her love is out at sea and she waits for him. Looking out upon the waves fill her with both immense longing and peace. Our floral and paper designs pulled everything together in perfect simplicity. The watercolor on the paper suite wonderfully mimics the lull of the tides. Again, the model's attire reiterated simplistic beauty and the organic-feeling tiara added just the right amount of elegance. We hope you feel as we do when looking at these images.

I'm so excited to be sharing this beautiful wedding with you all today. I've been on this journey with Kara and Justin for what feels like a very long time. Their engagement session last summer in Oxford seems like an eternity ago! I knew from the beginning that these two were going to have such a beautiful celebration of their union, both tangibly and intangibly. The feel of the whole day was pure sweetness and romance. Kara is one of the most detailed yet laid back brides I've ever had the pleasure to work with over the years. The day they planned was perfection. One of my favorite moments was their first look underneath a canopy of old oaks. Nothing compares to that moment when the groom gazes upon his beautiful bride for the first time. Mallory & Kevin | Swan House Engagement

I will go wherever there is beauty, no matter how far. I often find myself traveling for engagement sessions. There are just too many gorgeous locations to stay in the same place. Travel has always been one of my loves. I can mostly thank my mother for that trait. She used to pack us all up in the car on a whim and take us on adventures. Love of nature and beauty was passed down from her mom and now to me. If there is an adventure to be had or something lovely to behold, I'm ready to go. After talking with this sweet Atlanta couple about their engagement session, I knew the stately Swan House had to be one of the options. Fortunately, they thought it was perfect too! I couldn't imagine a better fit for this classy and elegant couple than this breathtaking mansion and it's beautiful grounds. They epitomize everything Southern and sweet. I'm so thrilled to be a part of their New Year's Eve nuptials in Charleston in a few months!
