As I travel, I take note of all the romantic places I discover. I'm blessed to have one of them right in my backyard. (Give or take an hour!) The gulf coast of Florida's panhandle is home to the most gorgeous beaches. Jonathan and I went to the Caribbean islands on our honeymoon. We thought it was beautiful, but I think we've been a little spoiled by our gorgeous ocean views near home. I was so when Sarah Beth and Graeson decided they wanted their engagements at Rosemary Beach. Their family has a beach house nearby, so it was the perfect backdrop for their love! Sarah Beth and Graeson are like two peas in a pod. I don't think I could even imagine them apart! They are incredibly natural together, which only makes sense for a couple who has been in love a long time. I'm so excited to be a part of these precious highschool sweetheart's day this summer! This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely girl as she wed her man. It was like a breath of fresh air - stunning, elegant and incredibly sweet. Kara is an absolute joy and one of the most precious people you will ever meet. I also don't think it's possible for her not to be adorable. She is such a classic beauty and an authentic person. Lindsey & Drew | Santa Rosa Engagement

Have I mentioned that I'm so ecstatic that Spring has arrived? Because I am. Winter was long and dreary, but the warmer weather has brought so much pretty with it, including this sweet engagement session. I've known Lindsey and Drew for a few years now. I remember thinking how perfect they were together when I first heard they were dating. Some people just "go" together and when you think about them you can't imagine anything more perfect. That is definitely the case with Lindsey and Drew. Side by side, they are so natural. I think I speak on behalf of everyone who knows them when I say that we've been waiting (scratch that, dying) for them to get engaged. We all knew it was coming, because like I said before, they're perfect together. We couldn't be more thrilled that you two are tying the knot. After that you can get on making adorable babies! (Just kidding! But seriously...) I'm so happy that I have the immense pleasure of being on this journey with you guys! If your engagement session is any indication, your wedding is going to be such a gorgeous celebration!

Lindsay & James | Soft, Classic Wedding

Lindsay and James are one of the sweetest couples I've ever met. I can't help but smile when I watch them interact together. After such a beautiful engagement session, I had no doubt their wedding would be timeless and gorgeous day as well. Lindsay was a vision in her classic lace gown and had us all enthralled. It was the sweetest February day, surrounded by so many wonderful people who came to celebrate their sweet love. I'm so thankful I was able to be a part of these memories.

From this day forth...

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is the vows. I never tire of hearing them because they are perfectly timeless. It is so powerful to watch two people, hand in hand, gazing into each other's eyes and pledging their lives to each other. From that day forth, they are not two people but one. It's such a sacred moment. I remember saying our vows on our wedding day. I actually messed up and recited, "with this wing" instead of ring. I blame it on the nerves. Standing there in that moment felt so heavy, so wonderful and very surreal. This was the moment we had waited for during our engagement and on the other side of it the rest of our days awaited. We knew there wasn't a fairytale on the other side or that we'd ride off into the sunset with no worries or problems to come thereafter. For better or worse? We didn't know. The moment we left that alter, commitment started as well as the moment by moment decision to choose each other. The beauty of marriage isn't love, although that part is wonderful. It's the choosing day after day after day that marriage is worth it and that the vows they made that day are worth keeping. From this day forth...
