I Take You, Beloved
/Last month my husband and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. Half a decade seems like such a milestone. We are not the same people we were when we married each other. I wanted something to remind me daily of the vow I made to Jonathan before God, now that we are such different people. No matter how we grow, not matter how we change, I will always take these words seriously. The talented Jenny Sanders of Graceline Art created this gorgeous script of our vows to hang in our home. I love having things of meaning around our home, and not just pretty items. This is currently on our mantle and I know it will be a cherished piece for years to come.

Since I am teaching both my older girls and younger boys, I’ve tried to teach the boys to ask, “Whats’s next, Mommy?” after they finish a project. I need to help them learn not to run off the minute I go help the girls. I’d say they remember 50% of the time. The other 50% they run off and make a mess somewhere in the house, and I have to go find them and show them what’s next.
Spiritually, I’m a lot like my little boys. As I’ve been teaching them to say, “What’s next, Mommy?” throughout the day, He’s been teaching me to ask, “What’s next, Father?” too.
